Members of Manchester Diving Group are taking part in this years Manchester to Blackpool bike ride. The ten strong team will be riding to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity.

Amongst the riders will be Territorial Army soldier Mark Webber, who has completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan and is expecting to be called for a further tour in 2011.

MDG's 52 year old chairman Andy Appleby, an above knee amputee, who is also attempting the 60 mile ride to Blackpool, said "It's not just about money, it's as much about showing that we support the British Armed Forces and respect their professionalism, commitment and sacrifices."
